Amsterdam and Rotterdam for the first time in joint presentation - Seatrade Hamburg

For the first time, Amsterdam Cruise Port and Cruise Port Rotterdam have decided to join forces in presenting themselves in a joint booth at Seatrade Hamburg. Both cruise ports, which are each unique in their own way, believe that co-operation will optimize their services to the cruise market during Seatrade Hamburg.

Seatrade Hamburg
Seatrade Hamburg is Europe’s leading meeting place for the Cruise, Ferry, Rivercruise and Super yacht industries. The Seatrade will take place in the Hamburg Messe Center from 15 September until 17 September 2009.

The Amsterdam & Rotterdam co-operation has inspired to a brand new and enticing Dutch design for the Amsterdam & Rotterdam stand (booth number 719 in Hall 4A at Seatrade Hamburg. We are looking forward to welcoming you in our booth! This year the stand has been sponsored by Kobe, Diez en Amsterdam Diamond Crew.
 
 
Amsterdam Cruise Port (ACP)
Amsterdam Cruise Port (ACP), is a nonprofit association and all our participants work in the cruise industry. Several authorities and businesses participate and work together to provide the best possible service to cruise companies in order to promote Amsterdam as Cruise destination. The members offer a package of shipping and tourist services in support of cruise calls. Partners are the Amsterdam Tourism & Convention Board, the passenger terminals in Amsterdam and IJmuiden, the port authority, port agents, incoming tour operators, various attractions and tourist service providers, hotels, local and provincial authorities. 
 
 
Cruise Port Rotterdam (CPR)
The Cruise Port of Rotterdam lies somewhat 40 minutes from Amsterdam airport and is situated at the bank of river Maas in the city centre. CPR is a one stop service-office which handles berth, quay, guest services, joint press & promotion, assists with special cruise events and is the one stop to all authorities. CPR values its clients and the client's client; the passengers. CPR has service and co-operation as its device and will acclaim to be of service
 
 
Happy hour
On the 16th of September from 16.00 – 18.00, we would like you to join us in raising a glass with you to this special occasion. During the happy hour a special cut diamond will be donated by The Amsterdam Diamond Group to one of our guests in the Lucky Draw. Furthermore, we would like to introduce you to the Netherlands Business Support Office Hamburg (NBSO), which has been opened on 1st July. Set up by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, its aim is to support Dutch businesses that are interested in entering the German market. The NBSO Hamburg is part of the Dutch business support network in Germany which is co-ordinated by the Dutch Embassy in Berlin.

Amsterdam Cruise Port zoekt een nieuwe manager!
Vanwege het vertrek van de huidige manager zoekt ACP per direct een projectmanager voor minimaal 0,8 FTE. Wat hebben wij je te bieden: Als manager van ACP kom je terecht in een enthousiaste club mensen die zich met elkaar inzet om goede uitingen en succesvolle activiteiten te organiseren. Hans Gerson new Chairman Amsterdam Cruise Port (ACP)
Hans Gerson (1947) has been appointed Chairman of the Amsterdam Cruise Port (ACP) promotional association by the Amsterdam Chamber of Commerce . The former Director of the Port of Amsterdam took up his new role at the start of August, succeeding Peter Swelheim who had been Chairman since May 2006.

Alkmaar verwelkomt cruiseschip ‘MS Switzerland’ met een lengte van 100 meter
Vrijdag 11 juni meert het cruiseschip de ‘MS Switzerland’ voor de eerste keer aan in Alkmaar. Het schip legt aan aan de Kanaalkade - tussen de Ringers- en de Texelsebrug- op een plek van 105 meter lang. Een bijzondere gebeurtenis, omdat dit de eerste keer is dat een schip van deze lengte Alkmaar aandoet.

Hongkong kiest voor inrichting passagiersterminal naar Amsterdams model
De inrichting van de eerste nieuw te bouwen passagiersterminal in Hongkong is naar Amsterdams model. De lay-out en indeling van de terminal in Amsterdam bleek het meest optimaal. Met inzet van kennis en ervaring van ondermeer Haven Amsterdam, de Passenger Terminal Amsterdam (PTA) en Ingenieursbureau Lievense is gekozen voor het ontwerp en de bouw van een 300 miljoen dollar kostende nieuwe terminal, op Amsterdamse leest geschoeid.

AGM organizers Dick de Graaff, the commercial manager of Passenger Terminal Amsterdam, and Ron Maes, general manager of the Felison Cruise & Ferry Terminal in the Port of IJmuiden, managed to attract an impressive roster of speakers, including the key decision-makers for deployment and shore operations at Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Seabourn Cruise Line, and Disney Cruise Line. The speakers’ collective message was a clear one: The sun is shining on “Cruise Europe Land.”
