Golden Green Key for Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre
Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre received the Golden Green Key Award for its outstanding effort on preserving the environment. Green Key has three award levels and the golden award is the highest level to be obtained.
Green Key
The Green Key is an international environmental award which is assigned to leisure companies who participate in the campaign. To obtain the Green Key the company has to fulfil a list of environmental requirements. These requirements are contained in a number of criteria. Besides environmental demands (for example to control the production of waste and the use of water, electricity, etc.), the criteria include demands on policy, action plans, education and communication.
General Manager Albert Rouwendal of Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre: “the Golden Green Key certificate means a lot for our hotel. The environment as well the durability of it are both focus points. We do not see this as our duty but as a commitment to ourselves and the people around. Recently the Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts chain won the ‘2009 European Hotel Guest Satisfaction Index Study’. We are very proud of all these recognitions and awards and would like to continue this.”
